It was a tremendous surprise and honour that I learned a few days before Umbraco Codegarden 2021, the annual conference traditionally held in Odense, Denmark that I was to be awarded an MVP award! A surprise since I wasn't aware that I was nominated, since the nominations were secret.
The honour was because although I had always been a member of the community for many years, I previously hadn't taken a driving-seat position, and it was something that I secretly hoped might be something to strive to in 2022, so to be awarded this year was very humbling! The reason I started this blog was with the express intention of becoming more involved in the communities I work in - Umbraco, Microsoft, Xamarin - all of them ❤
